Martin Glenn Hockett, 65, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 from complications after a car accident on May 5. He is the only son of the late William and Jean Baldwin Hockett of Hanover County.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Hallett-Hockett; his sister, Linda L. Hofman (John W.); nephews, Chris and Barry Hofman (Anna); step-children, Justin Kelly, Gina Troncale Batts (Trey) and Carly Troncale; great-nephews, Levi, John and Jordan Hofman; and a great number of cousins.
In the mid-1970s, Glenn Hockett was one of the first hang-gliding instructors at Kitty Hawk Kites in Nags Head, N.C. He loved gliders, planes, boats and music. His beautiful voice will be missed in the choir at Saluda Baptist Church. He will be lovingly remembered for his wry sense of humor and kind heart.
