The Middlesex County Public Library buildings in Urbanna and Deltaville have been closed to the public since March 17, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the statewide stay-at-home order. The library staff has sorely missed working with the public during this time.
Recently, Gov. Ralph Northam outlined the first phase of reopening, and the Middlesex County Public Library is following these guidelines to institute a gradual reopening, starting Monday, May 18.
The library’s phased reopening will begin with contactless lobby pick-up of books or DVDs and public computer access by appointment only. People interested in checking out materials may make a request through the library’s website, www.yourmiddlesexlibrary.org, via email (yourmiddlesexlibrary@gmail.com), or by phone (804-758-5717 or 804-776-7362). Staff will then contact people with a date and time when they may pick up their materials from the lobby of their preferred library branch.
