Deltaville Ballpark’s second phase renovations now mostly complete

When fans drive up to Deltaville Ballpark this summer, they’re going to notice something looks different from how it appeared over the past four decades.    

While baseball — and nearly every other sport — has ground to a halt this spring, preparation for when games return has been steadily under way at Deltaville Ballpark. “Phase 2” of the multi-phase renovation and restoration of Deltaville’s iconic ballpark has progressed steadily over the winter and early spring, and outside of punch-list items, the ballpark is ready for baseball to return.    

“Phase 2” of the renovation builds on the structural renovations, namely roof canopy replacement, of the 2016 initial phase. The major highlights are the addition of handicap accessibility to the grandstand, and a new, modern concession…
