Airport in Middlesex plays role in helping in COVID-19 defense

The Cessna approaching Hummel Field last week looked like many of the other small planes that routinely land at the Middlesex County airport in Topping.   

But this plane and pilot were on a goodwill mission, carrying much anticipated medical supplies for Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital (BSRGH) in its efforts against the coronavirus.

Student pilot, TJ Kim, 16, of McLean, has been delivering supplies to the seven critical access hospitals in the commonwealth. The designation for these small rural hospitals ensures they remain open to provide access to health care.
