Cedar Pointe Homeowners Association President Mike McClellan, left, and his wife, Sarah McClellan, show off their donation-filled pickup truck Saturday morning. They later drove the items to Locust Hill’s Cryer Center and its food pantry. A call for help from Hands Across Middlesex, which operates the pantry, resonated with those living between Robinson and LaGrange creeks. These residents of Cedar Pointe, Remlik Hall and Kilmer’s Point came together for a street-collection for the pantry, picking up bags of groceries placed beside mailboxes. Many bags also contained envelopes with monetary donations for Hands, whose reps thanked these neighbors and all those who have contributed to help the pantry meet the need of so many families in crisis.
