MC school officials told to hold off on plans

Whether or not there will be “normal” summer instruction for children attending Middlesex County public schools is questionable, reported Dr. Peter Gretz, the school system’s superintendent, during an online “Zoom” school board meeting on Monday.

Dr. Gretz informed the school board that Gov. Ralph Northam had recently participated in a weekly meeting of superintendents with the State Department of Education (VDOE).

Gov. Northam reported at the meeting that the coronavirus pandemic will probably not peak in Virginia until the middle or end of May. At that meeting…
