Liverman, Franklin shine at state swimming meet

The Middlesex County School Board honored two Middlesex High School (MHS) swimmers Monday night who, for the first time in school history, participated in VHSL state championship competition. Middlesex High School (MHS) junior Dayton Liverman scored 36 points in the VHSL Class 2 Swimming & Diving Championships in Richmond on February 1 to single-handedly give the Chargers a tie for 18th place as a team in the state meet.

The Class 2 state championship meet was held on February 19 at the SwimRVA pools in Richmond. Liverman and sophomore Ashtyn Franklin were the two MHS swimmers
