March 8 ‘Afghanistan’ program will complete Sundays at Two’s 25th year

The final program in the Lancaster Community Library’s 25th year of Sundays at Two will be on March 8 with Rich Magnani’s talk about his work and socio-cultural experiences in Afghanistan. 

The presentation will begin at 2 p.m. in the library at 16 Town Centre Drive in Kilmarnock. Coffee and cookies will be served following the program.    

Rich Magnani served as Chief of Party (COP) on the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Regional Agribusiness Development-North (RADP-North) in Mazar-e-Sharif from March 2015 to early January 2019, and continued to support the project until it closed in May 2019. RADP-North was tasked with improving economic performance in three commodity supply chains—wheat, small ruminant livestock (sheep and goats), and horticulture crops (grapes, melons, and orchard crops). The overarching goal was to increase farm productivity and eliminate choke points in the value chains to lower unit production costs…
