The Northern Neck Orchestra will celebrate the 250th year of Beethoven’s birth in 1770 with an all-Beethoven concert to be performed on Friday, March 27, at the Lancaster Middle School Theater in Kilmarnock, and Saturday, March 28, at the Northumberland High School Theater in Heathsville.
The program includes the stirring “Overture to King Stephen,” the grand “Symphony No. 1” and the virtuoso “Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano” with soloists Northern Neck Orchestra Concertmaster and principal violinist Moises Cunha, music director and pianist Michael Repper, and award-winning guest cellist 18-year-old Camden Archambeau.
Each performance starts at 7:30 p.m. with a pre-concert talk by Repper beginning at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $36 and may be purchased at the door or online at tickets@northernneckorchestra.org. Students are free with an online reservation.
