The Middlesex High School (MHS) wrestling team won the Southside Scuffle wrestling tournament last Saturday at Nottoway High School.
“This is the second big tournament we have won,” said MHS head coach Joel Anderson. “Our young grapplers have continued to improve and I predict we will have a large group going to state.”
The Chargers will travel to Riverheads High School in Staunton on February 14-15 to participate in the Region A wrestling tournament, and those who qualify will travel to the Salem Civic Center in Roanoke on February 21-22 to compete in the Virginia 1A championships.
