On January 29 Christchurch School observed a day of prayer for Christian Unity. During their weekly All School Chapel Service, local congregational leaders of different denominations gathered to offer prayers for unity. The Rev. Ileana Rosario, president of the Middlesex Ministerial Association, gave the sermon.
Rosario, pastor of Lower United Methodist Church, challenged the student body to seek unity in the name of love. She held up the beautiful differences represented in her native Caribbean cultural and our local community of Middlesex. She proclaimed: “How beautiful it is that God should call me! How beautiful it is that God should call you!” Rosario stressed the infinite nature of God’s love, and how God calls all people.
