Susan N. Jarvis passed away peacefully after a brief illness in Silver Spring, Md. She was the fourth child of Monroe and Maxine Jarvis. Growing up Susan attended Calvary Baptist Church, Saluda. She later joined Second New St. Paul Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Monroe and Kenneth Jarvis; and sister-in-law, Barbara Jarvis. She is survived by her brothers, Raymond and Welford Jarvis; aunt, Tiara Quille; uncles, William and Harold Jarvis; sisters-in-law, Rosetta and Oletha Jarvis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 23, at Second New St. Paul Baptist Church, 2400 Franklin St. NE. Washington, DC 20018. The viewing is at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Baptist Church, Saluda, on Sunday, January 26, at 2 p.m.
