The Middlesex Lady Chargers varsity basketball team opened its season with a 57-33 win over visiting Essex on December 2.
Lady Chargers head coach Neil Wake said he was pleased with the defensive effort.
Wake said he was unconcerned that the offensive execution “wasn’t that great . . . but we’ll have that ironed out in a couple of games.”
He noted that some Lady Chargers just finished their volleyball season and practice has been limited due to the Thanksgiving break.
The next home game is Tuesday, December 10, against King William. On Thursday, December 12, Middlesex is at Northumberland.
The JV plays at 5:30 p.m. the the varsity plays at 7 p.m.
