The Middlesex YMCA Jingle Bell 5K run/walk, Kids Fun Run and Family Day will be held Saturday, December 14, at Piankatank River Golf Club in Hartfield. The public is invited to join the fun.
The beautiful Jingle Bell 5K loop around the Piankatank River Golf Course back 9 takes participants from the clubhouse out to the view of the Piankatank River and back. All runners, joggers and walkers are welcome to participate.
The Kids Fun Run starts at 9 a.m. and the 5K starts at 9:30 a.m. (child watch provided by YMCA staff during 5K).
The YMCA has partnered with Middlesex Public Schools to help provide school supplies needed after the holiday break. “Teachers will go through 800 pencils within the first three months of school. Please bring school supplies and help us fill our stockings with school supplies,” said a YMCA spokesperson.

The public is also invited to come visit Santa Claus at the event. The YMCA Winter Wonderland starts at 9 a.m. in the golf course clubhouse. There will be pictures with Santa and crafts. Hot chocolate and snacks will be provided.
