Cub Scout Pack 341 News

Members of Cub Scout Pack 341 get ready to distribute Scouting for Food bags in Urbanna.

Cub Scout Pack 341 recently went to Urbanna for the annual Scouting for Food program.  The Scouts went house to house and left paper bags for people, asking them to donate food for the Middlesex Food Pantry. The Scouts will return on November 23 to pick up the bags and weigh them. They are hoping to have over 50 pounds of food to deliver to the Food Pantry.

On Saturday, November 23, the Cub Scouts will host a bake sale at the Deltaville Maritime Museum. Please come out from 9 a.m.-noon and support our Scouts.

This month the Scouts continue to work on their Urbanna Christmas Parade float. On Wednesday November 13, the Lion Den of kindergarten students, painted. “It was so fun to see the kids faces when they saw the float,” said Christina Smith, fundraising chair. “It makes all the hard work worth it just to see their expressions.”

Following the Christmas Parade the Scouts will get to work on their Pinewood Derby cars and begin their annual mulch-in-a-bag fundraiser.

There is lots going on with the Cub Scouts. If interested please contact Michael Pierce at mpierce@mcps.k12.va.us or join us at our pack meeting the second Monday of every month at Lower United Methodist Church in Hartfield.
