The Middlesex County Museum and Historical Society invite the public to a living history portrayal of Adele Clark, one of the founding members of the Equal Suffrage League of Virginia. The presentation, “Persistence: The Story of Women’s Suffrage,” will be held on Sunday, November 10, from 3-5 p.m. The program will be presented by Nancy Lowden, manager of historical programs at Maymont Mansion in Richmond. Nancy and her husband Mike divide their time between their homes in Richmond and Deltaville.
Discover the arguments, the justifications, and why even some women opposed the vote in this dynamic and informative program on November 10 at Dozier’s Regatta Point Marina at 137 Neptune Lane in Deltaville. Tickets are available at the museum, which is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum is at 777 General Puller Highway in Saluda.
