James O. Linthicum

James O. Linthicum, 84, of Topping, a retired Newport News Shipyard employee, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019. He was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church, Topping, and a life member of the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad, Deltaville.

James was the widower of Lena G. Linthicum and was predeceased by a daughter, Hope Hogge.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda L. Green (Shannon); grandsons, Andy Hogge and Adam Green; a great-granddaughter, Madison; son-in-law, Dennis Hogge; his sisters, Edith Fitchett and Darlene Summorford (Rod); and a niece, Annette Grant.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 31, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Rosemary Hill Cemetery, Topping.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Harmony Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 138, Topping, VA 23169.
