‘Fall into Art’ opens Oct. 25

“Fall into Art” is the upcoming show at the Bay School’s Art Speaks Gallery in Mathews. Fall into Art is a collection of pottery, jewelry, wall art, gourds, baskets and three-dimensional art depicting autumn-inspired colors and themes. There is a total of 18 local and regional artists participating in this autumn themed show.

Fall into Art runs October 25 through December 2. The opening reception is Friday, October 25, from 5-7 p.m. Some of the artists will be at the reception to discuss their work. Guests are encouraged to come in costume. There will be a photo booth available featuring  artwork created by one of the participating artists.

Don’t miss the Holiday Artisan Market at the Bay School Thanksgiving weekend, November 29-30 and December 1. The Holiday Market is held in conjunction with the Made in Mathews Open Studio Tour.

The Bay School is a non-profit community art school and art gallery. It offers monthly shows, classes for all ages and skill levels, both regional and local art, and community outreach programs. The Bay School is located at 279 Main Street, Mathews, and is supported in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, Dominion Energy, Mathews County, Westville Landing, Chesapeake Bank, and 12 community Gallery Sponsors.
