Middlesex High School’s home volleyball game against Mathews on Tuesday, October 15, will be “Volley for a Cure” night to bring awareness to breast cancer research and early detection.
Players will be wearing pink jerseys, and encourage fans to show their support by wearing pink.
Players are currently selling door prize tickets—some prizes guaranteed to be won so far are Visa gift cards, local business gift certificates, and local business gift baskets. There will also be a 50/50 raffle during the games.
The players voted and decided to donate the money they will raise from “Volley for a Cure” to the Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital Cancer Indigent Patient Fund. The JV game starts at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game will follow.
Wear pink and bring a few extra dollars to support “Volley for a Cure.”
