Grace Bible College & Theological Seminary (GBCTS) is offering free classes to anyone interested in obtaining a certificate in Biblical studies. Classes include: Evangelism, New Testament, the Old Testament, Prayer, Understanding What You Believe, and Fundamentals of the Christian Life. It is a total of 12 credits and students will be able to graduate in May 2020 with the degree program students.
GBCTS is accredited and has campuses in Saluda and Hampton. There are also campuses in Murfreesboro and Ahoskie, North Carolina.
Drs. Robert and Teresa Sutherlin will host these classes at Lebanon Baptist Church in Saluda. Classes are on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and continue for 8 weeks. The Sutherlins said they hope everyone will take advantage of this great opportunity. “There is no cost for the certificate program. We want to give everyone an opportunity to understand the Bible and to participate in a formal college graduation,” they said.
The certificate program does not require a diploma or a GED. Students will be taught the Word of God. The only responsibility one has is to show up for class and be willing to learn. Last year a 92-year-old graduated and received her certificate in Biblical studies.
For those interested in the degree program, classes are offered as well. The degree program includes the associate, bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees. “They are very affordable and there is a tuition payment plan with no interest fees,” said the Sutherlins.
