William A. “Bill” Harris, 89, of Hartfield, widower of Virginia Harris, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019. He was a member of Lower United Methodist Church, Hartfield, and a U.S. Navy veteran. Bill enjoyed duck hunting and was a member of the Conservation Club of Virginia. Bill retired from the Mack Truck Company as a Fleet Manager and then joined Fleet Brothers Tractor in Hartfield for numerous years.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Harris (Harriett); a sister-in-law, Nancy Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, in Lower United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hartfield. Arrangements by Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda.
