The Deltaville Branch of the Middlesex County Library held a poetry reading earlier this evening honoring two of our local featured artists, Carolyn Kreiter-Foronda and Bob Kunzinger.
“Dragon Run,” is a vivid reminiscence of recent kayaking trips Carolyn took on the Dragon Run in Middlesex County, VA. Her creative alliteration and captive story telling technique paint a vivid imagery for her audience to feel like they are riding in the kayak with her.
After the poem, stay tuned a bit more info about the Dragon Run and find out why the Smithsonian chose “the Dragon” second among 232 other significant areas with in a 12,600 mile radius of the Chesapeake Bay.
Fall is probably the perfect time to visit with a bit cooler weather, less bugs, and leaves changing colors. So, if you’re ever in Urbanna or near Middlesex County, suit up your life gear and give “the Dragon” a try.
