Events Director – Deltaville Maritime Museum
The Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park will hold its annual members meeting Saturday, September14, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the south wing of the Events Pavilion. The public is welcome. The pavilion is near the waterfront on the Maritime Park property at 287 Jackson Creek Road in Deltaville.
As the Maritime Park moves toward the end of its 17th year, 2019 president Duanne Hawkins will open the meeting and vice-president Richard Rodgers will preside. Treasurer Lud Kimbrough and various board directors will report on the “State of the Museum and Park.”
Those nominated for the 2019-20 ballot include sitting board members seeking re-election Duanne Hawkins, Richard Rodgers, Bob LeBoeuf, and Chuck McGhinnis. Others nominated from members in good standing are Joe Davenport, Seth Penny, Brad Norris, Lynn Burnett and Marion Lancaster.
The 13th annual Oyster Roast and Dance immediately follows with a Social Hour at 5 p.m. with music by David Moran. The fabulous “Taters” will play following the Oyster Roast. Watch the Sentinel for more details.
