“Life in the soil: Dig Deeper” is the theme for this year’s national youth poster contest sponsored by the National Association of Conservation Districts. The local Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District is seeking entries from all Mathews, Gloucester, and Middlesex youth in grades K-12.
It is important for everyone to know what is going on beneath our feet. This contest starts at our local level but winners move on to the state level and can move on to the national level. Various prizes are possible along the way. Local winners from the three counties will receive a gift certificate.
Poster size must be between 8.5”x11” and 22”x28” and any media may be used to create a flat or two-dimensional effect. For complete rules and an entry form, contact the Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District office at 804-693-3562 ext. 5 or the website, www.tidewaterswcd.org.
All entries must be received by September 20 in the Tidewater office, P.O. Box 677, Gloucester, VA 23061.
