Friday, September 13, will be a lucky and enjoyable evening at Christ Church Parish Hall, as the Christ Church Hospitality Committee will welcome the community to its Autumn Full Moon Dinner. The social hour with beverages and palate-pleasing appetizers begins at 6 p.m. with dinner following at 6:30 p.m.
An enjoyable and delicious dinner is in store: 12-hour Boston butts with vinegar-based or tomato-based barbecue sauce, grilled shrimp skewers with chimichurri, cucumber dill salad, golden-baked potatoes with chimichurri, green bean salad, cranberry spinach salad and crusty garlic bread. Dessert will feature homemade vanilla ice cream atop freshly-baked apple crisp.
A bounty of door prizes will add a healthy dollop of excitement to the party. Twenty-five door prizes generously donated by Urbanna, Kilmarnock and regional businesses will be given out to lucky winners at the dinner.
The proceeds from the ticket sales will help support local charities and community projects for those in need.
Tickets are $30 per person and there is a limited number of seats. Please contact the church office at 804-758-2006 for more information.
