Middlesex Mardi Gras: More great auction items, excitement

image
One auction item is six nights in a lovely mountain cabin with two bedrooms and a wonderful view at Head Waters in Highland County.

Don’t miss out! Tickets and tables are moving well for the ever-so-fun Middlesex Mardi Gras on Saturday, February 23, from 5-10 p.m. at Bethpage Camp-Resort on the outskirts of Urbanna. This is the night we’ve all been waiting for to help us forget the nasty weather and winter doldrums. So if you are still in the “thinking about it” stage, now is the time to call the YMCA at 804-316-9191 to lock down a Platinum, Gold or Reserved table, tickets or a sponsorship.

The Middlesex Mardi Gras is an opportunity to have a blast with friends and neighbors and support the children of Middlesex County. All proceeds from the event are shared by the evening’s co-hosts, the Kiwanis Club of Middlesex and the Middlesex Family YMCA. The Kiwanis’s share goes to support Middlesex County school programs, scholarships and childhood nutrition programs. The YMCA’s proceeds go to support their Guardian Program, which offers every family and child the opportunity to participate in its programs regardless of income or circumstance.

Auction items are still being accepted and if you have unwanted or no-longer-needed treasures to offer, please call the YMCA at 804-316-9191. The YMCA also can arrange to pick up any large or unwieldy items or answer any question about tax deductions of donated items. See you at Mardi Gras.
