Brad Parks nominated for Shamus Award

Brad Parks with the Shamus Award he won in 2010 in the category of Best First Novel. He has been nominated for the 2014 Shamus Awards in the category of Best Hardcover Novel. The winner will be announced at a banquet in Long Beach, Calif., in November.

Middlesex County author Brad Parks has once again been nominated for a Shamus Award by a panel of judges from the Private Eye Writers of America.

Parks was shortlisted, along with four other authors, in the category of Best Hardcover Novel for his 2013 book, “The Good Cop.”

“This is an unexpected but enormously gratifying honor,” Parks said. “The genre is rich with gifted writers, and so many of them are authors I’ve both admired and emulated. It’s a little hard to wrap my head around being recognized in this way.”
